SAMKELO MATOMELA

Born in 1996 in KwaZulu Natal, Samkelo Matomela's artistic journey found its roots in Soweto, where his passion for art flourished. Seeking to refine his craft, he pursued training at Artist Proof Studio in Johannesburg, specializing in printmaking to elevate his artistic abilities. Painting and drawing serve as the primary mediums of interest for Matomela, whose work is deeply informed by both internal introspection and external observations.

Inspired by his personal experiences and ongoing journey through life, Matomela's art is in a constant state of evolution.
